Embroidery Suite

For a celebration of the Millennium, an Embroidery was created along the lines of the Bayeaux tapestry- when it was first exhibited, Tony was so taken by it, he wrote a suite celebrating it, which was eventually commissioned and performed at St Marys Sunbury-on-Thames to an audience of 300 people. The Embroidery has involved over 160 people since its inception in 1996. Eight side panels (each 3ft x 2ft) complement the Village Panel (9ft x 3ft) which forms the centrepiece of a 50ft display containing over 120 canvas work pieces incorporating the badges and insignia of local community organisations.

Tony’s big band will be performing the suite again on Friday March 11 2016 at Sunbury Cricket Club and that evening will be recorded.
